The Oil don't intentionally tank. They're just that ####ing bad.

Thanks Wings! A .500 record for us the rest of the way appears will be enough to clinch the division. The magic number is a combination of three flames wins/sharks losses.

Yup, if the Flames go 3-3-0, the Sharks can't catch us (assuming no SO wins)

We play Dallas and Anaheim, SJ plays Chicago and Vegas before our tilt on Sunday. It is going to be an interesting week headed into that game on Sunday.

Yep, that's true, but, it's the second straight game that it's happened. On Saturday, the Blues had a 3-0 lead in the 1st period against Tampa Bay.

What, the other OOT games weren't talked about?

The Stars took care of business for their playoff hopes as they beat the Jets 5-2. It was 0-0 in the 2nd period and then the Stars took over scoring 3 goals in under 5 minutes. Faksa with 2 even strength goals and Seguin with 2 PPGs. For the Jets, Connor had a 2 point game and despite the loss, Hellebuyck faced 36 shots.

The Predators score a SHG by Johansen 4.5 minutes into the game and that was it for scoring. Nashville won 1-0 in reg time. Big loss for the Wild. Saros with the 29 save SHUTOUT. The Predators are now 2 points back of the Jets for top spot in the Central Division.

The Blues are making a run to catch the Predators and Jets for the Central Divsion lead as they're just 4 points back of the Jets. The Blues defeated the Knights 3-1. The rookie goalie the Blues have, it's unreal how he has been playing. Binnington's record is now 21-4-1 and all his wins coming since Jan. 7. The Blues sweep the season series against the Knights.

The Bruins-Lightning game was great to watch. It's just too bad that this is going to be a 2nd round series and not in round 3. The Bruins were perfect on the PK going 6 for 6. Tampa's PP was non existent, but that didn't matter as they won 5-4 in reg time. Stamkos had 4 points and his team isn't slowing down and resting.

The Leafs won a wild game 7-5 over the Panthers. Tavares with 4 goals, gotta admit that was a good game for him. The two teams combined for 6 goals in the 1st period. Hyman had 3 points and the Panthers' Hawryluk had 3 points. Montembault was pulled after 2 goals and then Loserongo took over. The Leafs still haven't clinched a playoff spot yet.

The Penguins beat the Rangers 5-2. Blueger had 2 goals for the Pens including a SHG. The Pens woke up in the 2nd period scoring 3 goals. The win keeps them safely ahead of the BJs and Habs.
