That is how you beat non playoff teams this time of year. You wont always have offensive explosions, and you might hit a hot goalie, but if you limit them 5 on 5 the way the Flames did, you almost certainly will win.

What do you do with Bennett when he comes back? Sit Neal? Czarnik?

Isn't it great to have 13 forwards who you want to see in the lineup?

Great write-up, as always - love this format.
Mangiapane has taken his game to a level that I did not think he had. Ryan has taken his game to a level that I did not think he had. Hathaway has taken his game to a level I did not think he had. It has been amazing to watch.
The 4th line has been arguably the Flames' best line since the all-star break. At the very least, it is in the conversation for that honour. When was the last time a team - any team - could say that their 4th line was their best line for the past month and a half? I mean, a handful of games, sure. But a month and a half? It has been awesome to watch.

I think Czarnik comes out. Only three points in his last 12 games and with Gaudreau and Mangiapane on the roster they probably need the beef.

And they don't give anything up defensively.
For a coach like Peters that likes to manage lines and matchups it's almost like he's been gifted 3M-lite for the playoffs.

That 13-2 stat for even strength goals for and against was crazy.

I've often lamented that the team was too top heavy, so yes this is fantastic.
Depth is one of the, if not the, best weapons a team can have. Especially on the road without last change.

As a 6th round pick he’s done nothing but be a top scorer in the OHL and AHL. I don’t see him being at that level in the NHL but that wicked one-timer alone should make him a PP fixture.
