There's a few hundred million dollars worth of private jets at the Signature FBO on the SW corner of the airport right now:

-Five Gulfstream V's
-Cessna 750
-2-3 CL60's
-G280
-Gulfstream VI
-Boeing Business Jet (private 737)

Owners include Boeing, General Dynamics, General Motors, Northrop Grumman, and others. Apparently the entire Kananaskis Village hotel is booked for the weekend for whatever is going on (based on some of those companies I can only assume it is a NWO meeting).

Cool. I'm honestly surprised that Kananaskis Village can still attract these big types of meetings. The environment is pretty nice but the hotel/resort is a dump.

I have a silly question - when private planes arrive from outside Canada, are there customs officials out there all the time or do they come in on demand from the main terminal?

On airplane news,I got to fly on an A380 for the first time from LA-SYD in March - it was cool to be in such a huge plane.

The Delta Kananskis just went through a multi million dollar Reno in the past 2 years and has been re branded as an Autograph property. I’ve heard it’s pretty nicely updated.

On the subject of US Navy aviators encountering UFOs, there's been a few things in the news lately as these reports. Radars tracked these things dropping from 80,000 feet to 50 feet in less than a second! Interesting stuff.

Futuristic 'Flying-V' airliner prototype is in the works

Quote:
The aircraft’s futuristic v-shaped design will integrate the passenger cabin, the cargo hold and the fuel tanks in the wings, the Dutch flag carrier said in a news release.
“Its improved aerodynamic shape and reduced weight will mean it uses 20 per cent less fuel than the Airbus A350, today’s most advanced aircraft,” the airline wrote.
“Although the plane is not as long as the A350, it does have the same wingspan. This will enable the Flying-V to use existing infrastructure at airports, such as gates and runways, without difficulty and the aircraft will also fit into the same hangar as the A350.”

Typical iggy. Now you're on about a union of two planes.

We've had the same basic airliner shape for over 60 years now... Are we finally going to start the 21st century?

Boeing has had designs like this kicking around for years, one factor regarding passenger comfort are those sitting farther out along the "wings" will be subjected to larger roll forces when the aircraft turns, owing to them being farther away from the longitudinal axis.

Well that makes sense! I never considered this.
