So can they actually be classified as hipsters any more if they're on TV? I would figure selling out/being exploitative of a culture is kind of antithetical to hipsterdom.

The show won't be anything but insufferable regardless.

I should mention I have a few friends in the industry in Vancouver. These shows aren't "real" at all. If you have to do more than one take / re-do any takes, it's a completely bogus show. They constantly re-do takes to get the best shots for these shows. Mostly fake, outside of some unscripted dialogue. But they're generally told what emotions should be conveyed, who to talk to, etc.

I thought this was common knowledge? An authentic reality show wouldn't be interesting to watch at all to anyone who would watch them.

I totally used this joke on twitter a month ago before it was cool to use this joke.

I have a buddy that finishes the Real House Wives of Vancouver and these people are just pure trash. Stuff that gets cut out could be better than the actually show. Can't say I watch it or would watch a show on hipsters. It's bad enough I have one on my hockey team. Do you know how hard it is to constantly come up with excuse as to why you "accidentally" hit him on the ice?
