I agree, it is ambiguous.

However, CliffFletcher said it was Nyquist OR Tatar, which according to the origanal source, is not true - it is Nyquist AND Tatar, no matter how ambiguous the rest of the tweet is.

The Bouwmeester and Iginla deals were pretty bad. They should fire the guy who made them

McKenzie never said that though. Getbak linked the original interview that tweet came from, and it was someone else entirely that was saying that. McKenzie actually said he heard that deal was offered for a different player (i.e. not Bouwmeester).

Edit: Found his original post

Here's the entire segment from TSN Radio in Toronto yesterday: http://www2.tsn.ca/window/podcastcentre/#id=30764

Near the end of the segment (I can't get the player to fast-forward or jump to a time, so you have to listen to the whole thing), it's actually Dave Hodge who brings it up, and he says that he heard the Wings were offering Nyquist and Tatar for Iginla. Then, McKenzie says that he had heard that it was Bouwmeester, or possibly someone else that Detroit was after.

After listening to it, I'd say it doesn't sound like he's overly confident about what exactly the final offer from the Wings was, or who would have been going back the other way.

It is an interesting read. Though, admittedly, I only read part 1 then skimmed parts 2, 3 and 4. Twitter is just not a forum conducive to this kind of... exposé.

It's a (very) long thread following Weisbrod's path to the NHL and now the Canucks. I posted it because he is a former Flames' AGM and I felt it was interesting. He was polarizing figure here.

Burke after months of working with Feaster and Co. didn't even know who he was either. He seems like the Littlefinger of Assistant GM's.

Maybe someone could have copied and pasted it somewhere legible instead. Reading it in that twitter format is lame and hurts my eyes.
