Joao Fonseca is into the Buenos Aires final with a three set win over Laslo Djere. He awaits the winner of Martinez and Francisco Cerundolo.

Another bad loss for Leylah in Dubai overnight 6-2 6-2 to Elise Mertens, it's getting pretty concerning at this point. Look at these stats that highlight how her serve is such a major liability.

Joao Fonseca has just won his maiden ATP tourney as he claims the Argentina Open by defeating Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets 6-4 7-6. He served for the championship twice at 5-4 and 6-5 was broken twice, but he played a fantastic tie-break to win the crown.

Joao Fonseca will be ranked #68 in the world when the official rankings come out on Monday. His days of going through qualifying to make grand slam main draws are over at the ripe old age of 18.

I imagine he was probably replaying those break points in his head while lying in bed last night. Especially tough in a tournament final with the money and points on the line.

Unbelievable scenes in Doha just now as Hamad Medjedovic defeats Oikos after suffering what appeared to be a pulled hammy with Stef serving at 4-5 15-love in set 3. He was basically limping around the court for the rest of the match, but managed to get it into a tie-break which the Serbian won 7-5.
Felix is scheduled to play Hamad tomorrow but barring a miracle recovery he will get a walkover win.

Well, too bad Joao Fonseca couldn't back up his big win in Argentina last week as he lost to Alexandre Muller in straight sets earlier tonight in Rio in front of a raucous crowd.

As expected, Felix is into the next round with a walkover win and he will be taking on Meddy barring an incredible comeback by Zizou Bergs.

Heck of a match just now between Bweh and De Minaur which saw Rublev prevail on his 8th match point. There was about 45 minutes between the first match point and the final match point, but Andrey won it 6-1 3-6 7-6(8). Felix is coming up next versus Meddy.

Felix takes the opening set in 30 minutes 6-3 over Meddy which included two breaks of serve. I have to say that's the best set of tennis I've seen from FAA in 2025 and this from a guy who has won two titles already this season, Serving great, striking the ball clean, now the question is can he keep it going?

Medvedev just retired, not sure what happened. Well, Felix into the semi-finals to take on Rublev in the semi-finals on Friday.
Edit: Felix just said in an on-court interview that Meddy told Mo Lahyani that he wasn't feeling well and didn't even want to shake hands with Felix for fear of passing something on to him.

Medvedev has been poor for nearly a calendar year. He's got 600 points to defend in IW and 400 in Miami. If he doesn't shape up, he'll be in 11-20 territory with Oikos.

Alcaraz still not firing on all cylinders as he didn't look great against Nardi needing three sets to beat him.
