Klopp makes my old man nostalgic for the Shankly days...I see it. He is a spiritual manager, a motivator, a legend in the making

Koeman has left Everton. I don't know who they bring in, but I think they have enough on that roster to survive.

ha! That'd be amazing.
Personally I'd go for someone like Sean Dyche.

watching Tuanzebe tonight, I again ask myself why United shelled out a lot of money for Lindelöf. Tuanzebe looks better in every aspect of the game. Great talent.

If back 3 is the aim, I prefer one of Tuanzebe or Fosu Mensah, with Smalling & Jones.
I don't know what to think of Shaw's late sub (5') -- a slap? or Jose just moving to 4 in the back..

Guardiola blamed the Mitre ball - the same used in all Football League matches - for that. “It is not acceptable, the ball was unacceptable for a high-level competition,” he said.
“It is too light, there is no weight, nothing. It is not a good ball. It is impossible to score with a ball like that and I can say that because we won, I’m not making excuses. All of my players said, ‘what is that?’ I’m sorry, Carabao Cup, but that is not a serious ball for a serious competition.”

lol. That's got to be up there with Klopps "windy" excuse and some of the #### that Mourinho has said over the years.

Yaya Toure acknowledges that the Ivory Coast has low standards.
Quote:
City midfielder Yaya Toure has backed Guardiola's complaints about the ball, saying it is worse than Adidas' controversial "Jabulani" ball, which was criticised by players at the 2010 World Cup.
"I don't like it, to be honest, they can do better than that," Toure told reporters. "It's too light. Even in my country they can't use those kind of balls. I think they have to be better than that because the ball was too soft. It's rubbish but that's fine.
"The World Cup one was better than that one. A lot of players were complaining. The FA can try to do something because we just want to enjoy it.
"It's difficult to play with these kind of balls but we try to find a way. It's everything. Shooting -- the ball is very light, when you touch it, it's floating, it's rubbish. And in this weather it's difficult."

Come on. I'm sure that the ball was less than perfect, but you're telling me the reason that $250,000,000 team couldn't score against Wolverhampton was they didn't like the ball?

Evidently.
I on the other hand, was unaware that 'Mitre' was still a going concern.

Leicester City have appointed Claude Puel as their new manager.
that's a head scratcher. His Southampton team was underwhelming last season.

Yeah its only League Cup and no one really gives a ####, but it's gotta be disheartening for Spurs fans to watch a prototypical Spursing it up. Not a good omen for the rest of the year.

Its not disheartening at all. Last week they played Real Madrid to a draw at the Bernabeu, came home and dismantled Liverpool a few days ago and this weekend play United at Old Trafford, followed by Real Madrid again. It was always clear that this game was going to see a pile of reserves and second stringers.
The only people who care about the league cup are West Ham supporters today and Jose Mourinho. It's pretty clear that Poch and Spurs have bigger goals in mind.
