Smith for Giroux. We'll retain some salary....

ooooh this should be fun. Holmgrens track record regarding goalies in Philly wasn't pretty IIRC.

LOL, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing for Hakstol, 'cause usually a vote of confidence is the kiss of death. This is...not that

Hakstol is as good as gone. He should probably just resign.

Hes still under contract though. If he quits he doesnt get paid. If he gets fired he gets money and time to find a new job.

As suspected .....meddling ownership.
RIP Flyers proper rebuild.
This could go sideways in a hurry and badly.

Yikes. Flyers all but guaranteed to make some bad moves.
Sam Carchidi @BroadStBull
After the press conference, Dave Scott opened up about Hextall’s firing. The rebuild was taking too long, he said. “I want to spend to the cap. I want to have the best possible team we can have,” Scott said. #Flyers
Sam Carchidi @BroadStBull
“It’s too long of a timeline,” Scott said of Hexy’s plan. “The business moves faster than that.” #Flyers

lol. This has to be the worst as a fan - watch your GM be patient for years, build through the draft and assemble a deep talent pool, only to have it taken away from you because the suits grow impatient shortly before the finish line.

LOL Hakstol, start looking for your next job. Incredible they are talking about this in public.
Dave Isaac @davegisaac
Dave Scott said that Joel Quenneville’s name came up immediately when Chicago let him go, but Hextall wanted to keep on his path. Quenneville may be an option now, but it will be up to the new general manager. #Flyers

Come on Leah! Cheer for us!
Also we need a new goalie coach so bring Ron with you. I think I could stand to watch Big Save Dave hack some Oilers.
Then Edmonton's complaints would at least be somewhat legitimate.
