I learned something new...if you are drunk you can do whatever you want and its OK.

Oh and it's funny too.

Cool.

Think that woman thought it was funny?

There is ZERO reason someone has to accost a stranger to have a good time. Also, just because you're young doesn't mean you shouldn't act like a professional in public. Dumb dip####s working on the rigs do stuff like this because they know they don't have much of a future. Even if we shouldn't expect young people to behave somewhat adequately in public, I have no idea why someone who gets nearly $12 million dollars a year doesn't have someone around him managing his stupid impulses.

Your so out of touch.

A group of big drunken guys? I'm thinking something much worse than that if I'm a woman all alone.

Nope what??

Being drunk isn't a problem. Doing something dumb isn't a problem. Harassing an vet with PTSD alone late at night, with a group of friends is just a dickish.

Blame booze, but that doesn't relieve you of consequences.

Sounds like your brother is extremely lucky the couple in the car didn't do some serious harm to him. Not a bright move.

Your right, they were extremely nice and understanding. And he was super embarrassed the next day.

Sweatpants and good shoes.

I wonder if they were already somewhat known to each other. I could see it if you know someone a little and might think it was funny to play a joke on the person, but to do something like that to a stranger is just dumb.

Honestly, dudes drunk and one of them probably says "I dare you to go sit in the seat of that person's car and act like *insert whatever meme*. No harm. Bad luck that it happens to be who it was and instead of being a harmless joke it's made into a fiasco. A little prank and a mooning lmao. This turning into charges and into news is more of a ####ing joke than anything.

Didn't even get into the car...

Drunk doesn't excuse stupid behavior. That woman had severe PTSD. It could have ended real tragic for Matthews.

The only thing that could have made this story better is if he started to ass-talk, a la, ace ventura.

Pretty dumb, Arizona is a "stand your ground" state and if the person felt threatened in their vehicle they are allowed to use deadly force to defend themselves. Mix in a woman military vet with PTSD and this could have ended very badly.

39 percent of Canadian adult women report having been sexually assaulted as an adult (sexually assaulted when they were 16 or older). I would expect that any woman who had a gang of 20 something male thugs try to break into her car at 2 am in the morning may reasonably expect that it was for the purpose of sexually assaulting them. But there is always the boys will be boys retort in some folks eyes.
