No bets but seeing the Oilers 5 points clear of us mid November is pissing me off

I hope the Oil make the playoffs and get crushed by Dallas (a reminder of the late 90s for them) in 4 games.

If the Oilers are so good, then why are all the Oilers fans in this thread hiding their shame by pretending to be Flames fans?

I thought your username was related to how many times the oilers have burned you!

I keep looking at the Stats and there are so many outliers early in the season.

Leon shooting at 22% Kassian shooting at 22% and McDavid shooting at 19% and Neal shooting at 22% To me their whole top line is an outlier. I have my doubts that all of them are going to continue with that kind of shooting percentage.

a 31% pp and a 87% penalty kill.

The aforementioned soft schedule, and very few injuries of significant with Larsson being the only one, but he's been on a two year slide where he's been awful, so that was a benefit because it allowed Bear to become the slam dunk rookie of the year winner.

Who knows, it seems like the Oilers luck is holding, but a team that for the most part is getting outplayed for the most part and finds a way to win, that has that unproductive scoring strength will crash to earth hard.

stang seems appropriate to me. When I think of a Mustang driver I think of someone stuck in the past.

I donít if you can say itís holding. They are a 500 team discounting the win streak at the start. Those points are banked and regression doesnít mean that they will have a corresponding losing streak to cancel it out but there team has been average since the win streak.

I am a Mustang driver, and I am stuck in the past.

Of course, it's a '69 fastback, hot rodded to the teeth, with a 351C putting out just shy of 500 hp. Why WOULDNT I want to be stuck in the past?

A couple of the Flames outbursts last season were against young backups.

7 goals in 25 minutes against Malcolm Subban before stopping caring.

9 goals against Mackenzie Blackwood.

It happens. Itís nice to have, but it doesnít mean you are world beaters.
