I don't think a very late 3rd for an RFA who has 8 points in 13 games is enough.

I think the trade is okay in value.

Edit: Nevermind. Didn't realize that Florida was trading Athanasiou and not the other way around. Since these reviews are supposed to be for protecting the new gm coming in, I'm actually a no currently.

Counting point totals is not a good measuring stick so early in a season , Athanasiou really hasn't done much great with ample opportunity. Being able to control the contract of an average RFA shouldn't hold leverage in a deal because he's an RFA.
Edit* Note Vancouver is right behind me in the standings* I could have easily voted no but I believe it to be fair.

Not worth a second. Worth a touch more than a third. This is what they call an iiiiiiiinbetween situation. The player in LA is more like the player he was in Detroit as opposed to Edmonton, and he's still 25 human years old.

Correction to trade: it's Calgary's 3rd this year (I don't have Buffalos) so it's likely to be an early 3rd.
