Said it on 960 yesterday — Pospisil is a much better skater than I thought he would be.
Right on cue... looks like he scored again. 3-1 Heat.

Nice glove save from Zag here, too.

And now it's 3-3. Back-to-back goals by Nathan Todd.
Heat being outshot 32-13. Less than ideal.

Is the team playing poorly? Just the effects of an extended road trip?

Also I know this is an unpopular opinion but I'm not a big Zagidulin fan, though I'm willing to give him a pass since he's had to face 32 shots in 40 minutes.

Honestly I think Manitoba's shot counts are being inflated a bit. Don't think it's been nearly that one-sided. I think the game has been relatively tight but Manitoba has had the upper hand.

Mark Simpson gets back into the lineup today and gives the Heat the lead!

Phillips scored with 3 minutes to go but the Moose responded with 1:23 left and this one is heading to overtime.

Looks like Gawdin scored the winner. Man that team has won a lot lately. Great to see.

Heat win 6-5 in overtime! That's six wins in a row.
Gawdin gets his first of the year in 3-on-3. We'll be hearing from him, Pettersen, and Mackey shortly.

Is the MTS Centre not available for the Jets Farm team to play in? It is one thing to play in an NHL arena with no fans, which sucks on its own. But to be playing in what looks like a community rink is a whole another level for a Pro league.

They're playing at the Bell MTS Iceplex, the training and practice facility for both the Jets and Moose.
Not sure about the availability of Bell MTS Centre (yes, the names are very similar and confusing). The Moose usually play their games there. But they're also not playing at a random community rink.

That looks like The MTS iceplex which is a pretty new facility on the west end of the city, and where the Jets and Moose sometimes practice.
I know they have four rinks in the complex. Not sure why the decision to move their AHL games there. Probably cheaper to run than Bell MTS place.

Obviously I was joking but it looks pretty sad for an AHL team to be playing actual games there...Its like the Heat playing at Winsport but not on the big ice. Then you factor in the ability to broadcast the game to fans...you know the whole point of pro sports in general. That is a ridiculously bad camera angle.

Yeah it is pretty weird, honestly. We asked the coach and the players about it — paraphrasing, Gawdin said it was almost a minor hockey throwback while MacLean said everything was so enclosed that it made the game take on a faster feel, as though it was hopped up on Red Bull.

Reminded me of the Florida Panthers', but a little worse (and through netting, which is frankly unacceptable for a professional TV broadcast, but unavoidable given the venue).
My guess is there are probably COVID protocol/crossover concerns about having both teams playing out of the NHL arena. I'm not sure what they would be, though — Calgary is having no real issues that I know of with having the Heat at the Saddledome.
