It’s presents a strong opinion on what’s wrong as opposed to asking for a variety of opinions. At no point does it ask to talk about anything.

Hah. I scrolled down the first page and found a thread about kids lunches that is relevant to a problem I'm having these days. I clicked the thread and this was the fourth post:
I avoid the Let's Talk About threads because it sounds like my parents will be discussing the latest thing that makes them think I should be in a mental hospital. "Let's Talk About the asbestos you ripped off the basement vent pipes and stuffed into your sister's pillow case". Yeah, I really want to go to that meeting.

Every thread (including this one) is a Let's Talk thread. The OP does not say that different opinions are not welcome. Discussion is invited and implied by the very nature of this being a message board. Otherwise, I'd tweet and ban all replies.
