think you have to get rid of Czarnik if you do this - not that I have a problem with that. Its the same idea - take a chance on someone but you only have so many positions to do that with

Former teammates at Malmo.

Burakovsky is actually Swedish (via Austria). I did not know that.

Yes, they're well documented best friends since they were kids.

I think you definitely try to land him, but you don't want to get into a bidding war either.

big kid, who can skate and has a lot of skill, that you could get with giving up assets?

for me its a no brainer to pursue it

Qualifying offer is $3,250,000, so yeah I can see why the Caps might not offer him a QO as he only had 25 points last year playing just 11 minutes per game.

If he goes UFA, the Flames should definitely make an offer IMO.

Big body, great speed, flashes of offensive upside. He could break out big time in the right situation.

Sounds awfully familiar to a certain Flames RFA (who shall go unnamed) for whom $3 million seems to be the commonly accepted fair price.

Yes, you are. Brodie or Frolik go in every trade proposal.
