Hi
Your furnace is likely short cycling due to overheating either the direct drive, belt drive motor inducer motor....also we have had some rapid recent weather and temp changes. ....and theres way more to it since I havent personally seen your furnace.....its usually something simple.
I would recommend. Having someone look at your equipment since it isnt operating well.....
If you are using 3m filters btw ....or any kind of pleated or woven filter this is contributing to the issue I guarantee it.

Email direct if you have more questions.....keithmfg@gmail.com

Very grateful for the business this week CP ....2 jobs from Cp yesterday in fact will help me pay 2 mortgages and the utilities.

Becoming recently seperated and this on top of that and this new fear mongered bug makes me too a little nervous and confused about the future of this little business which is now 7 years old and started largely in part because of this very forum .

Thanks for the business referrals and repeat business CP and god bless.

Shout out to EVERLAST. Thanks so much for coming on such short notice and for doing such a great job. It's actually a big relief to have the ducts cleaned and the furnace running nice, especially with all the time my family is spending in the house now. Much appreciated.

Hello

I have a Carrier furnace with the electronic filters that keep snapping, I have cleaned them like 10x now with the DAX, soaked them, scrubbed down the wiring with cloths, wire brushes etc. none of the wires are broken, nothing is stuck in them. It just keeps snapping and I just leave the power off. I'm almost thinking of just getting new ones, because this is just getting extremely annoying and waste of time.

Any idea where I could get these, I've tried to find online but cannot find except for ebay.

model is SASD-11ASC

Hi
No one can service these anymore in Calgary and you'll be grossly overpaying for that type of equipment unfortunately....I wouldn't bother personally.

Hi Keith, is it better for a furnace to have the fan on all the time or for it to cycle periodically (ie. once every 1-2 hours)? We have a high efficiency Carrier that is new-ish (2011) and wondering what is best for the longevity of the furnace

Do you do HVAC work? I need to have a duct added to rectify a deficiency on a development permit. Company that I originally used is defunct.

All the time. Prolongs the lifespan of the motor in fact.
Dependent on type of filters being used as well and please change filters monthly.

Is there a best time of year to get furnace/ducts cleaned? We're just realizing after some furnace repair that we haven't done it in a while.

Sorry for the delay....I work all year round and stampede time is normally the biggest lull ....so now works.

Not sure if this is something you do or not but I'm having issues with the temperature in my house being crazy high upstairs - the thermostat on the main floor is saying 20 and upstairs a thermometer is at 29. I expect some difference but that seems ridiculous. I just don't even know where to start on fixing this.

Hi
Thermostats are typically always bang on.

Try running your summer fan if equipped and see if you can even out the temperatures in the house.

Also. Please if you are using a 3m filter, filtrete filter , re usable, woven, pleated , Kirkland filter...REMOVE immediately. Use only fiberglass disposable cheap filters and change monthly.

Your robbing the furnace of air and it cannot balance air efficiently.
