If you’re looking for experiments with song structure or eclectic instrumentation, this probably isn’t the album for you. If you want something you can crank up at backyard barbecues or in the car with the windows down, well, The Black Keys have two words for you, and they’re in the album title.

Yeah, that's what I got out of her announcement too. I like St. Vincent but her sound is quite different than Sleater-Kinney. It sounds like Janet feels Annie had too much influence on the new record.
Ian Blurton is an underrated musician. He seems to have a new band every year. One of these days he’ll find the magic and hopefully make it big. And I say that even though he drunkenly hit on my girlfriend at the Night Gallery.
I saw him at the Palomino smokeout with Public Animal. Dude was unbelievable.
Standing a few feet from someone who was displaying Jack White level rocking/sound overload... it was wild. Find him and watch him live.
Another vote for the new Black Keys album. Listened to it countless times, really enjoying it.

Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes has a solo record coming out. This new song is incredible with an even more incredible video starring Terry Crews. This will make you smile.

New Wilco coming out October 4th. Jeff Tweedy has been remarkably prolific lately. Three solo albums and two Wilco albums all in the last 5 years, not to mention his recent memoir which came out last winter.
