That is just flat out stupid.

Every team has a game plan, and over 20 percent of games go to OT. There is no excuse to be unprepared for it
Just another on the pile of reasons why Sutter should spend next winter on the ranch.

So it is confirmed the Flames practice 3 on 3 less than other teams?

Good on Kadri. I hope it leads to positive change.

hard to imagine the team righting the ship, with this much turmoil, but we'll see

I've been saying it for a couple weeks now.

All the focus has been on the relationship between Huberdeau and Sutter, but to me based on body language and play on the ice the relationship between Kadri and Sutter looks way more strained.

And the last two games in terms of TOI, linemates, etc really seem to have been the breaking point.

With the rumblings we've heard, no one here is happy - I don't think there's an environment here to build good relationships between coaches and players.

The organization needs an enema.

And while his play of late may warrant it, now I wonder if his ice time is a consequence of that as well.

Good on Kadri?

He has been awful for a while now. Worse than invisible, he has been a negative.

People want to grant Darryl all this respect because “he knows how to win”.

Kadri won last season. If he sees a problem with the room/the coaches and the players, I’d listen to him way more than I’d listen to “haven’t won #%^* in a decade” Darryl.

Further to that - if our biggest UFA signing in franchise history comes in and is like “wtf is going on here” we should take note.

Responses like “they should try upping their effort”…this team’s effort has not been the issue. They’ve been busting their ass all season - that’s how they’ve managed to out-corsi/out-shoot the opposition so consistently. Effort is not the problem.

Maybe guys like Kadri should try upping their effort in spite of the coach rather than packing it in because you played ####y enough (and not just in Sutter's view) to have your ice time cut.

Winning with a prickly bench boss is more fun than losing with one.

Even more so when you're the weak link of the group.

The times have changed. Darryl should consider changing a bit with them.

I'd like to know if they've practiced it even once.

The fighting and people saying players and coaches are not talking the tension with coaches and management.

Feels like the Brent Sutter era with Darryl all over again.

Everything seemed so positive coming into the season I wonder why and how it soured so much.

Boy, the timing of this is just terrible with the team making a push to make the playoffs. Can't see the team winning the games needed with this out there.

It starts at the top, really. What does ownership want? Then, what does Treliving want to do? Do those line up?

If not, does ownership want to keep Darryl? Do they find a GM that is in lock step? Do they quietly shuffle Darryl off to a consulting role or pay him to leave?

If Darryl stays and a new GM comes in, do they try and move players that aren't working out already?

What trades can be made?

No lack of storylines.

So many assumptions going on based on cryptic language. Everyone lining up to confirm what they already thought. No surprise.

Anyhow, much of what Darryl does is born out of friction. If someone is finally boiling over and speaking their mind rather than talking through their agent, that probably bodes well. Kadri has got to show something on the ice though. Been waiting since January it feels like.
