Just went into online booking and that was the rate- $38 for weekday, and $52 for weekend... Although Im positive it was saying $38 for Saturday when I checked this morning. I know it says $88 under rates, but maybe currently a crazy early season rate, or just a mistake.

Edit- doh, I guess I am possibly seeing the walking rate and the rest is cart? Well, who the heck gets a cart unless it is mandatory or they are with 'ol uncle Harold?? Either way, looks like they are on a bit of an early season rate.

Why don't you guys do the ala carte deal at Muirfield? $450 and you can golf unlimited on one weekday for the whole year. $450 to golf unlimited every Monday? Pretty good deal.

Assuming the walking price, is Muirfield a good deal, or priced about right for what you get?

It's shorter, has 2(?) holes with some ground under repair. Having said that I've never seen it super busy, so it's a relaxing round.

Its a really good deal if you dont mind the drive out. Right now the fescue is short so if you miss the fairway your fine, midseason good luck finding your ball.

Played Muirfield today - was in good shape for the most part. Beautiful day for golf!

Still, $38 to walk is damn good! Thanks for finding that.

I'm assuming a la carte does not include a cart? I would do that in a second if my weekday golf buddy was still in town.

It includes cart. Friday's-Sunday's are more, but I don't remember how much.

That's great, thanks for the tip.

Time for my annual question; what ranges are hitting off grass?

Silverwing is not yet.

Played Inglewood today. Went 44-39. Not too bad.

Boy was the Marshall there a dick. We showed up and are ready to go 15 mins before our tee time. He starts yelling get to the tee! Get going! Hurry up! It was so odd.

We ended up playing 18 holes in 3 hours. Was nice and quick.

Delacour and Blue Devil.

Elbow must have reached asphalt, because they have new mats this year.

Ya, but the range balls are probably from 1990.

Strathmore is off of grass.

Gleneagles might have the dumbest driving range ever. Off of fake turf, into water, only 180 yards, and you need to be shuttled down there by a worker. so strange and pointless.

GlenEagles re-purposed one of the soccer fields for the Can Tour event last summer.

They do have one of the better putting greens in the Calgary area.

I gained an appreciation for the place after walking it 5 times last summer.

I know there are bigger fish to fry up north, but was sad to hear that the Ft McMurray Golf Club suffered a complete loss of their clubhouse.
