After dropping their first two games to Belarus and Germany, Norway took on France earlier today in the Division I-A tournament.
Pettersen scored 1 goal and had 1 assist in Norway's 5-0 win.
With two games remaining, it's virtually impossible for Norway to finish first and get promoted next year, but the win should help them from getting demoted back to the Division I-B tournament.

Norway played Latvia early today, winning 4-2. Pettersen had another goal and assist in the win.
The win gives Norway 6 points, which currently puts them 3rd overall with one game remaining for each team. Germany leads the way with 11 points, so there is now way for Norway to get promoted to the main tournament for next year.
The win does guarantee that they won't finish last and get relegated back to the DI-B tournament next year.
Norway's final game of the tournament goes tomorrow (5:00am MT) against Austria.

I’ve heard good things about Roman from a Uni friend who attends a few Giants games. I’m interested to see how he looks vs some good competition. I believe he was the first line center in this game

Some updates. Sveningsson was put on Sweden's 1st PP unit at practice. Might be a good sign for him.
Canada takes on Slovakia in pre-tournament action tonight at 6PM MT. Because this is a Team Canada game, TSN will broadcast it on TSN1, 3, 4. There will be a rebroadcast at 8pm MT on TSN 5 and at 9:30PM MT on TSN 2.
Slovakia's lines haven't been released yet, but expecting at least 2 Flames prospects to play tonight.

Heading to the Canada game tonight, won these tickets at a work Christmas party last night. I’m gonna have my eye on our Slovak boys, hopefully it’s competitive.
Slovak coach has confirmed that Pospisil has been cleared medically for the WJC. Pospisil was feeling exhausted and ill after arriving at the WJC camp, but the doctors have now cleared him for the tournament.
Slovakia still has 24 players in their camp. The coach says they will register 12 forwards 7 d-men and 3 goalies to start the tournament. This will leave one spot on the 23 man roster open for a forward or defenceman in case of injury or illness.
