It was a short-handed breakaway goal, scored 5 hole.

Rieder can stay. When the 1st of Czarnik or Bennett comes back, Rinaldo can go. And when the 2nd guy comes back, Janko can get waived.

Empty net goal tonight against Vancouver to seal a 6-2 win. He nearly flubbed it by hitting the post, but then he was able to tap it over the line.
Extra bonus: I was at the game.

Why are you comparing his career earnings with less than two seasons? He was a pretty decent scorer (for the money) previously, when he made the bulk of that $8.8M.

The Flames have now officially made the playoffs without Toby Rieder scoring "10-12 goals".
Hey Bob Nicholson, we've just proven it wasn't Rieder that was the problem for all the Oilers' woes. The poor performance of that team runs deep and goes well beyond one single player. It's rotten all the way through.
