I like it. I hope he scores 10-12 goals this year. We’ll probably make the playoffs if he does.

“Do you want a contract?”

“Yes”

What is there to discuss. It’s not like he’s getting a NMC

This off-season has been such a strange chapter in the Flames-Oilers storybook.

1 year ONLY please....and at less than 1M.

Im not sold on him...he has looked like he did last year.

Really fast with hands of cement.

Though I will agree he is a really good PK guy.

Hathaway played significant PK minutes, which hasn't been replaced yet

Anyone can sign the guy so it's probably not as simple as beggars can't be choosers. If he played well enough to earn a contract other teams may also have noticed.

I'd expect league minimum; the negotiation might be his AHL salary

For a 4th liner though that is fine.

He's defensively responsible, adds some speed to the bottom 6 where our centers aren't the most fleet of foot (Ryan/Jankowski), and can be used to help the PK.

Just don't be like the Oilers and count on him for 15 goals and a top 9 role.

Maybe he has other offers on the table?

I was worried for a moment we'd sign Rinaldo.

A good PK guy is definitely something we could use.

I think Rinaldo would be a good add for Stockton

Shaun Donovan 2? I'll take it

I'd imagine he's trying to secure a one way from wherever he signs.

He's a vet so that's not outlandish.

He deserves it. He's had a good preseason, good on the pk, very good speed, creating chances. Puck will go in eventually. Just keep at it.

He's younger than I thought too, only 26.

1 year, one way, $700k - that should probably be the contract

Dono actually scored a few though...and was tough as nails.

Things lacking badly in Rieders arsenal for the last year and a half.

Yeah this guy is not Donovan or Hathaway in the grit department. He has the wheels though it seems.

I think Dube not exactly forcing himself onto the team is the reason this is happening. Sending Dube down to play top lineminutes probably the best for him

The thing I like the most about him is how he single-handedly sunk the Oilers last year.
