it was a graphic on the broadcast when they were interviewing him after the game, but it could easily have been a typo

Ferland got 7 minutes of ice time in his last game. Consistently getting 3rd/4th line minutes. Not the impact I thought he’d have.

Green looks to be one of those coaches that always has a sport or two in his doghouse. Ferland really hasn't played well since being injured last season.

On the Ferland thing: Before the start of the season he dropped like 15 pounds due to an illness, played zero pre-season games and missed a chunk of the training camp as I recall.
I wouldn't expect him to start looking himself consistently until mid/late november.

The Oil HF game thread is juicy tonight. Reality is slapping them in the face. The real Oilers have finally showed up.

Ladies and Gentleman that’s 120 straight minutes of scoreless hockey for your Edmonton Oilers.
Feels good man.

Actually 125 minutes plus two shootout attempts

Now the Jets don't play another game until the Heritage Classic. Good job, schedulers.

Final scores
http://sportsstats.cbc.ca/news/NHL-R...ate=10-22-2019
https://scores.nbcsports.com/nhl/sco...p?day=20191022
Marc Andre Fleury bails his team out again as the Knights get 1 point in their OT loss to the Bhawks. Georgiev also bailed his team out as the Rangers were lucky to get the game to OT where the Coyotes Dvorak scored the GWG. The Coyotes had a 21-4 edge in shots after the first period. The Kings did the same 1st period dominance in shots, 21-5 to the Jets. Hellebucyk made 38 saves, but the Jets lost in reg time. The Panthers are having a decent start to the season as they beat the Penguins 4-2. Bo Horvat gets a hat trick in the 3rd period as the Canucks won 5-2 over the Red Wings. Good to see the Wild scored 3 goals in the 1st period and that was it for scoring as the Oilers lost. From the NBCSN link, "It's the second time in Wild franchise history two goalies appeared in a shutout. The other was Dubnyk and Darcy Kuemper on Dec. 5, 2015, against Colorado."
