I blame most of the last 2 years of his slow development on GG. He never saw much ice time and it was the old situation of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

I can't say enough how much GG stymied this team and took 2 years off of so much talent. He also almost destroyed my love of the game of hockey.

Peters is truly a breath of fresh air. He has the Flames buzzing and I can't wait for the games to begin.

Great point. I keep having to remind myself that he's only 22. 2 years younger than Monahan and Lindholm.

Benzo is ok. I prefer Sammy B. Rolls of the tounge like Cardi B. Also lots of similarities between the two:

1) you can't #### with him if you wanted to

2) he's got money moves

3) hes a boss

4) You in the dome just to party; Sam there, he get paid to be

5) what player working as hard as him?

6) we need to let all these foes know that none of they playas is safe (from Sammy's fists).

Good kid, good player, late bloomer. Plenty of ti.e for him to fully realize his potential. The derailments early in his career (Shoulder, Gully) set things back a few years but I think we are seeing now his game maturing to the point where he can play his game. The bulk of his career offense ouput will come later. Still pumped we have him.

He will be someone to watch for in the playoffs.

Totally agree, the Oilers will regret they picked Drai instead of Sammy just as they are regretting they picked Poolparty instead of Chucky.

The last two nights he looked really good.

Best he's played since the Anaheim series. Whether it's simplifying his game or something else, he's been a factor out there and just needs to keep doing it.

If someday Bennett is regarded as a Draper, i'd be thrilled. Seems like the best path for him to follow at this point. Great outcome if it comes to pass.

This. Wasted 2 years of Brodie's prime, and burned 2 years of Giordano when maybe the best captain we've ever had didn't have the time to burn.

Sad, wasted years.

More ice time last year per game than this year.

He has developed a niche role on this team though, and good on him for doing so.

Still IMO very much a guy who can be a part of things but must be at a decent price.

That surprises me...seemed he was always in the dog house and just sitting on the bench.
