Well that's probably your team. Eakin signs a contract, Milano released, Ruzicka to the minors, Ritchie the 13th forward. My guess, anyways.

Not sure why Milano is still getting a look...he has not earned it at all IMO.

Enoch Root had those lines.
Can't say I like the look of the 3rd and 4th lines ugly. 6 goals Rooney up to the 3rd and two offensive black holes on the 4th line.

Looks like Dube is getting a shot at the top 6 at least to start the year; with Kylington headed to LTIR to start the Flames will begin accruing deadline cap space too, it will be an interesting topic to follow along and it’s funny that top 6 RW continues to be the biggest need for this club.
I also want to see Mangi get a look on his off wing on the top line at some point too, Toff has been pretty quiet through camp.

I thought I read somewhere that he’d be going on LTIR, maybe I confused that with something else though.

Interesting to see Poirier with this group. Could just be a placeholder for Kylington

Ugh. Not an inspiring lineup. Really need a top line RW to shift some bodies around.

I thought Kylington was dealing with an undisclosed personal matter. Can he go on LTIR?

Yep. That forward group is good enough to make the playoffs and be a decent team, but they are clearly lacking a RW. Might not need to make a move before the season starts but BT really needs to address that sometime during the season. Doesn't help that I'm not a huge Toffoli fan, really hasn't shown anything to be on the top line since he's been traded to the Flames. He's just there by default.

I thought he could go on LTIR?
Jonathan Drouin (in 2021) took an Indefinite Leave of Absence and was placed on LTIR,
No idea if its similar, just noting it has been done in the past.

You knew Eakin would get signed didn't matter how poorly he performed. He was in town and went on the team building trip as well. Might has well have gifted him a spot from the get go with a contract.
Milano didn't perform either. Wasn't really put in a great spot either.

doesn't LTIR depend on being up against the cap though? Flames have space

Is Eakin performing poorly though so far? Seems to be decent defensively and is being used on a defensive line in practice today. I think they let the start of the season play out and make a trade when the D gets settled a bit if they decide they need more scoring.

Not sure,
I don't recall if Montreal had cap space in 2021 when Drouin was placed on the LTIR

Mangi-Kadri-Dube is instantly our fastest line

Eakin hasn't done anything to stand out or earn a spot he's redundant and now you put in the starting lineup. He doesn't bump a 4th liner out but up a spot which puts him out of place. P
4th lines need to create some offense now you don't send turk out to waste time on the clock or the will get cooked.
