I would imagine there will be some players on waivers tomorrow

Kerins! and Nikolaev on entry level contracts contracts. Likely headed to the ECHL just to get in some ice time. Both are interesting prospects.

Is Pettersen still hurt? He is one of the guys who has had a few good flashes in camp. It would be great if he got another game.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Kerins sent back to junior for an overage year considering he missed a year of development.

Thought about that too. The Soo Greyhounds have a few overagers they need to sort out, but trades are always a possibility.

I actually think this is more likely than not, especially if Ruzicka ends up back down there. The Wranglers have a ton of centres.

118 points last year, almost 40 more than the next guy, Kerins has nothing to prove in the CHL. Too many centers? Move one of them to wing. Maybe he struggles in the AHL next year but going back and utterly dominating the OHL won't do him a lick of good.

OHL Regular Season has already begun.
Unless the Flames/Greyhounds are trying to find another junior spot for him, I think he'll be in the minors this season.

Yup. Even just a year of being around pros is going to be huge for his development.

AHL starts their preseason Oct 5.
Curiously, the Wranglers don't play until the 11th when they play the University of Calgary Dinos.
