First season following the CPL. I'm surprised to see that the final round of games aren't all played at the same time. I would imagine the different time zones might be a factor but even then the final four games are spread over two days. I guess when there is no relegation and no actual champion decided (the only thing ever being possibly in contention being a play off spot) it's not considered as important to do that?

The new commissioner seems to be wanting more of an emphasis put on the regular season. There is now recognition (and eventually a trophy) for the team that finishes top of the table.
Maybe a synchronized "Super Sunday" type event to end the season is on his radar, now that the regular season is supposed to mean more than in previous seasons. But in the EPL, for example, they've got relegation battles, Champions/Europa League spots, and of course the champions itself.
I can imagine that if the playoffs were set and the championship already clinched, it might be a pretty boring Super Sunday.
Musse has been up and down all season but he had himself a game today. Great to see the boys clinch!

Great game! They were quick going forward and didn’t look to have possession for just possession’s sake. Quick balls and looked so much better than they have for a while. Musse was incredible, his best match of the season. Carducci with a huge clutch save at the end
Bevan was a real menace out there and was looking. Real dangerous. Game changing sub by Tommy.
Don't mind if I watch this a few times. What a ball by Alarcon. Both he and Cantave have improved the level of wide service a bit, and were key on both goals.
Can I just also add that Alarcon has been fantastic at swinging the ball in from the wings. That first one he did with Mason a couple of weeks ago was magic. This was a beautiful touch. That dude has been a great addition to the team.
Reminds me so much of the amazing Bevan goal in the Canadian Championship against Whitecaps... I could watch replays of both all day long and never get tired of it.

Alarcon is fantastic at putting in crosses from the wing. His defense lacks at times, but playing three at the back should cover for that somewhat.
The signings Tommy has made since the season started have been great. Pepple, Vliet, Alarcon and Cantave have all looked good. Vliet and Alarcon shored up the non-existent fullback depth we had to start the year.
I think Alarcon is signed for next year but I hope Vliet is re-signed as well. It would allow Aird to move up to wing alongside Escalante in attack. Sign another attacking mid and another forward alongside Mason / Bevan and I like the way that attack looks.
