Shapo takes the opening set 7-5. Some brilliant tennis interspersed with some awful tennis.

Denis breaks and is serving for the spot in the final at 5-4 in set 2.
Edit: Shapo closes it out winning 7-5 6-4. Excellent chance to win his 2nd ATP title.

The final in Seoul will be Denis versus Yoshi and is scheduled to start at 10:30 PM Mountain time tonight. Nishioka is playing lights out tennis this week including taking out Casper Ruud. If Shapo can keep his unforced errors down, I like his chances.

This is the way he needs to play against Yoshi, wait for the short ball and then pounce. Excellent game just now,

Back on serve and Shapo is starting to simmer and not in a good way.

Second set tie-break required. Let's go Shapo!
Edit: So disappointing, Shapo with too many unforced errors yet again.

He had such a good week but bad Dennis showed up in the final. I still think Felix and Shapo have great potential but they need to start winning more tournaments. This was one that Shapo should have won but I fear he's just going to be one of those guys that can't put it all together.

I just hope that Youzhny sticks with Denis, he has played his best tennis under his tutelage. In more positive news, Genie Bouchard won her 2nd qualifying match to get into the main draw of the WTA tourney in Ostrava.

Shapo keeps this up he can absolutely get hot in a Slam and win it. He's showing more promise at his age than Wawrinka did.

I think that's still the biggest issue for both Felix and Denis when it comes to a slam or winning any tournament for that matter, sure they can put together two or three good matches, but to win a slam you need to win 7 matches. The ceiling for both Felix and Denis is very high, it's raising the floor for both guys that will ultimately determine their career success and being able to find a way to win when they're having an off day.

RBA takes out Felix in straight sets in Astana 6-4 7-6. Felix played well, but just some unreal shots from RBA in clutch moments of the match.

Genie will play Belinda Bencic on Tuesday in Ostrava, obviously a tough match, but Genie beat two pretty good players in qualifying to make the main draw. I watched some highlights and she has really improved her serve, the surgically repaired shoulder seems to have fully healed.

Great exchange between Andre and Fed (both verbally and shot-wise)

What a great doubles match that would have been. Always curious how Nadal would have handled Sampras it's a shame we never got to see them play.
