Wait...stop! The shade? The shade of the new red jersey is different than the shade of the old red jersey. I wear the vintage RED jersey with the white C. I thought I was good, but now I'm worried.

question: What if on my way to the game I am confronted by a gang of Crips? They ask me to remove the clothing I am wearing. Should I ..

a.) .. proceed to do what they say?
b.) .. explain to them that I must wear red for the C of Red, risking my life?

Sorry, I meant to imply that the Red might start to look Pink...not a different shade of Red. Don't worry, Wear RED!

Gang of 5 Crips vs. Gang of 19289 angry angry Flames fans who will kick you until you've bled enough red to fit in. Your choice.

Choose a. Remove the red, even give it to them if they so demand. If not, put it back on when you get to the 'dome. If they do demand it, realize it's a gang and gang's are dangerous. Give it to them and buy something RED at the 'dome when you get there. Safety first.

Anyone who enters the 'dome from this point forward, throughout the playoffs, who isn't wearing RED should be automatically deemed a fan of the other team and treated in accordance with their love for the other team. Not wearing RED should be taken as a sign that you don't support RED and therefore you are looking for trouble.

sort of off topic, but does anyone else have more pictures showing the C of red in the saddledome? i think they look great, especially the few that i've seen that have captured the goal Flames shooting up as well

looks like I'll never grasp any playoff tickets :-(
but if I did, I would wear RED.
I have red jersy (ofcourse Flames Jersey), red Flames sweater, red Flame Cap, and Red Jeans. :-)

you don't have to be decked out in red, although that helps, I have a black flames cap that i'm wearing, this has to qualify.

Are the mastercard people there still giving out white tshirts? it boggles my mind that last year they weren't red...everyone would have bought one...unless they switched after i stopped caring/looking.

Yeah, they are doing red shirts now. I thought they might have been restricted to white shirts last time around due to the agreement with the Flames to ensure sales in the Fanattic werent affected.

They probably just got inventory for the whole year and Mastercard didn't feel like letting all the white shirts go to waste.

With the red shirts sitting right there for free now it's ridiculous for anyone cheering for the Flames not to wear red. I've always wondered what those people are thinking - if you actually care enough to go to the game it'd be impossible not to know of the sea of red. Are they just lazy or what?

Things that are Red:

Lanny McDonald's moustache.
Chris Simon's attitude.
Jarome Iginla's heart.
Dion Phaneuf's eyes.
Darren McCarty's knuckles.
Terry Crisp's hair 16 years ago.
The streak behind Donovon at full speed.
Our 1989 Stanley Cup Banner.
Kipprusoff's face.
Oiler Jerseys.
Al MacInnis's slapshot.
Stephan Yelle's grittiness.
The flamethrower flames when we score a goal/win a game/win a series.

Don't you want to be red too?

What about a red jersey that has the opposing team's logo on it? Like, say, a Detroit home jersey, or a bloodied Oilers road jersey? Acceptable, or no? (not that I have either).

Now, personally i'd recommend buying a cheap flames t-shirt instead, but note the equation above.

Thought that I would add my bit in on whether it is C Of Red or Sea of red.

I believe it is C of Red, as that was the name of the video that came out after the run in '86 (and may I add, classic clips). The term stuck around after that (i.e., t-shirts....and they were RED!!!!!)

This was followed by the video, C of Champions, which came out after they won the cup in '89.

I was hoping for a C of Something after last season.....but it didn't happen.......but I think that will be corrected this summer!

I would be more than glad to buy a couple people some $6 dollar red shirts.
