Flames Flames @Devils 5:00pm (SN1)

The Calgary Flames are visiting the Prudential Center in Newark this evening to take on the New Jersey Devils.

Projected starters are David Rittich for the Flames and Cory Schneider Mackenzie Blackwood (updated) for the Devils. https://leftwinglock.com/starting-goalies

The Flames have won their last six games and look to continue the streak in this second of a back-to-back. Calgary currently sits five points up on San Jose in the Western Conference, with a game in hand. The Sharks are idle evening, making tonight’s game the game in hand.

New Jersey won their last game against Montréal, but sit at the bottom of the Metropolitan division with a 25-38-8-58 record.

Kyle Palmieri leads the Devils with 26 goals; Taylor Hall and Nico Hischier are tied for the most assists on the Devils with 26 a piece with Hischier leading the way in the +/- column at a +5.

This evening’s game is on SportsNet 1, so those of us that struggled with Game Centre and Chromecast last night won’t have that worry this evening.

Go Flames Go

The Devils are also 14th in the eastern conf. ahead of the dreadful Sens and Red Wings.

No technical problems this time!

Our Hero has himself in a small predicament on his way to Newark - he's found himself in Hell!

(well, at least HE can tell the difference)

Luckily he's found an ally to get himself out of the Satanic Realm. A certain Guy with a certain link to New Jersey AND to the Flames:

Spoiler!

Go Flames

Really hoping for a win tonight.

Being 7 points up on the Sharks with even game played and only 18 games left is going to be really good position to be in.

Looks like Blackwood is starting instead of Schneider:

NJ is looking pretty thin tonight up front. Flames have to take 2 here again.

The 22-year-old Mackenzie Blackwood is 6-4-0 this season with a .926 SV%.

The 26-year-old David Rittich is 21-5-5 this season with a .912 SV%.

I am clearly out of the loop with NJ, but I don't recognize half those names. It reads like one of those video games where they couldn't afford the NHL licensing.

Holy injuries. The Devils are missing Hall, Bratt, Wood, Zacha, Quenneville, Palmieri, Vatanen, and Butcher tonight.

excited to see what we have in Fantenberg. Didn't like the Brodie/Prout pairing yesterday, so hopefully Fantenberg can come in and do a solid job on the third pairing.
