Ducks trade Montour to the Sabres for a 1st and Brendan Guhle
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Hearing rumblings tonight ANA/BUF talking about Brandon Montour. We will see what materializes
Pierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrun
First round pick and prospect Brendan Guhle going to Anaheim for Brandon Montour is my understanding
Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli
Conditional pick details in Montour deal: #Ducks receive SJS 1st pick, or they have the option to select STL’s pick if it’s between #20 - #31.

Woah. Is this maybe where the Ristolainen rumours came from?

Some decent offensive numbers the last two years. Can’t say I know much about him. Wouldn’t want to be giving too much up, maybe a 3rd round pick?

Montour has a bad rep amongst Ducks fans, very suspect in his own end. So he fits the Sabres perfectly

Weird...this probably adds legitimacy to the ritsolainen rumour...

This is like Oiler fan levels of detached from reality.

I think I read somewhere that Montour's ice time was steadily decreasing since Murray took over as coach. Looks like Murray identified him as one of the problems.

Again I really know nothing about him. What’s a comparable player?

That seems steep, no?
Edit: the Sharks pick makes more sense.

It is not Buffalo’s own first round pick going to Anaheim. It’s either San Jose’s or St Louis’s first rounder which Buffalo owns going to Anaheim

Well I would have said less than a first and Guhle, that's a lot of talent going to Anaheim.
I'm mostly just bugging you at the expense of Oilers fans haha

This is good news, Flames young Dmen are very valuable if this is the type of return Montour gets

Well we definitely needed upgrades... just about everywhere but especially on D. Seems a bit steep

Another person to add to the list of coaches fire d/ players traded two days after the Flames played them this year.
That pinch's what got Montour traded.
Is what I'd like to think.
