I didn't see the other performances, but I am not surprised, she was brilliant in the role. She's a great actress.

Thankfully the Oscar is not decided based on the number of people who can hum a theme song.

The score in Black Panther was excellent with the combination of traditional African music and classic super hero orchestral music meshing seamlessly and setting the tone for the movie. I didn't leave the theatre raving about the story or the effects, I left raving about the sound.

I'll also add that "All the Stars" was good enough to win best original song in most years but got unlucky with a nomination along side Lady Gaga. It was nice of the Oscars to at least award BP with one of the musical Oscars knowing it had no chance at best song.

Probably just me, but I didn't enjoy Roma at all. Just seemed so slow and really quite boring. Maybe I'm just not an artsy guy, but I don't understand why it's getting so many awards. The wife and I were going to turn it off half way through but watched it all just because of all the buzz surrounding it. Oh well.

Was Guillermo Del Toro gonna ever hand over the award, or was he just gonna keep it for himself?

Wow, Greenbook!

I was hoping that Spike would win another one.

Most boring awards I ever seen, no host was a bad idea, bring back Billy Crystal, Chris Rock or Hugh Jackman. hell even a simulated Bob Hope would be better than nothing

Good to see the Green Book winning best picture.

I was afraid The Favourite was going to win and thankfully it didn't. Horrible movie.

It's a super hero movie. If you're making a super hero movie without an iconic theme, what's the point?

I am an artsy guy and Roma should of been right up my alley, but even I turned it off halfway through because I was bored to tears. (I eventually went back and watched the rest.) I think the cinematography was fantastic and glad it won for that though.

Read an LA times article calling Green Book worst best picture winner since Crash. I didn’t hate Crash so maybe I’ll give Green Book a try.

I thought Glenn Close was a lock. I saw The Wife and liked it although can’t say I thought I was watching an Oscar worthy performance. Supppsedly it would have been more of an acknowledgment of her great career.

Nice to see Spike Lee finally win an Oscar.

Olivia Colman and Rami Malek gave the best speeches of the night.

Gaga and Cooper were good.

Other than those few moments, it was a very boring show. Such a dumb decision by the academy to go without a host. I thought Fey, Rudolph, and Poehler were quite funny at the beginning. Not sure why those three couldn't have hosted the entire thing??

Green Book is worth the watch, while in "normal" years it wouldn't win top film. I also would have been fine with The Favourite, Bohemian Rhapsody or A Star is Born but Roma sucked IMO and shouldn't have even got a nomination. kind of a bad year for films really!

I really enjoyed Roma!

I was hoping Spike Lee would win for best director.

I thought having no host was actually tolerable - show moved much faster, good presenters, I would not mind if they did it again that way.

I liked the awards without the schtick of a lame host.
I didn't miss the 30 extra minutes of bad jokes.

my god, Lucy Boynton is beautiful, though. with her by his side, I almost didn't notice Rami Malek was there.
