I think this could be very good for Florida. I hope so.

I think Stan Bowman went down the “we need to change up the mix” and prioritized Saad due to Toews/Kane relationship with him.
At the time, their reasoning was they wouldn't be able to afford Panarin when his contract expired and Saad had more term left.

I dont think it was the vets who wanted the trade to happen. Kane was reportedly unhappy they traded Panarin who he had great chemistry with.

Probably the most ignorant comment Ive ever read on here

"They"? Please tell who is "they"? It sounds like you are lumping all Russians into one category because Panarin, mostly do to his model wife, wants to be in a big city so she ca further her career. What other Russian players are demanding big cities? There's Canadian players that don't wanna play in Canadian cities, but you don't go and lump all the Canadians into oe category like that.

Is it ever.

UFA’s have the right seek the best contract available. Calgary has signed many players who are just the same.

Well then you are foolish if you pass when a player like Panarin could put ur team over the top and possibly win a Stanley Cup. The Flames are in a position like they haven't been in 15 years and might not he again for 20 years. I would easily give the Flames late 1st rounder and a prospect for Panarin

Yup exactly and atleast Panarin is being totally 100% up front and is telling Columbus his intentions. He's not promising nothing unlike what John Tavares did to the Islanders last year at the trade deadline, telling them not to trade him and implying he would be returning to New York. Now THAT was/is Sleazy and low class. What Panarin is doing is being honest and upfront and by doing that it gives Columbus lots of time to get the best assets possible for him if they so choose to.
