Default Restaurant reccomendation Victoria

Looking for a suggestion for a group dining experience in Victoria. Considering the following...

Il Terrazzo

Harbour House

Nautical Nellies

Thoughts, comments welcome. Thanks.

Always had good experiences at Spinnakers, but can't vouch for it for the last few years as I haven't been in awhile. Haven't been to other places mentioned for comparison.

I went to Ulla last summer and had one of the best meals in recent memory. Everyone I was with was similarly impressed. I just saw on their website that they're closed until Tuesday this week for vacation though, not sure if that factors in.

Like Spinnakers. People will be going there another night. But this evening is about a formal type dinner. Thanks

I don't know about the group part, but Harbour House is excellent.

Not Nellies. Two of my sisters have worked there for a long time - it's a tourist trap.

You want a good fancy place - go to Brasserie L'école.

Just noticed it's closed Sundays. Hmm.

Really good.

New place, but getting good reviews.

Also, Il Terrazzo is a reliable place. And I've never been to Harbour House - never even heard of it. But it gets good reviews.

Went to a wedding last year in Victoria and they had a semi-formal cocktail evening at the Canoe Brewpub. They did an excellent job and the setting is fantastic. However, we mainly just were eating appetizers so not sure how the main menu is but I really thought it was an awesome setting.

Pagliacci's reliably delivers good meals. Its quite small though so may not be suitable for a larger group.

Ebizo sushi. It came highly recommended from some Victoria friends, but I haven't made it out there yet.

I'm not sure if it's reopened yet or not but we liked The Snug (Oak Bay Beach Hotel, I think it is?). It's been a good few years since we've been there, so who knows? It may have gone to ####. I knew they had closed down for a rebuild but I don't know if it's reopened - I think it has.

It opened recently. I've been there a couple times. It's okay. Definitely good enough to warrant a drop in for old times sake.

My office went to victoria for a retreat in october

We had a great meal at a vineyard one night. Great setting. Ill see if i can find the name, but vineyards would be an out of the box suggestion.

Cafe Mexico used to be quite good, but some recent reviews seem to show that it has gone down hill in the last couple of years. They were kind of a Julio Barrios kind of #######ized Mexican, but better .

Ali Baba's Pizza, a picnic blanket (a couple of it's a large group), and a spot by the ocean (Dallas Road, or Saxe Point Park in Esquimalt)
