Default Jankowski's shorthanded points scored vs powerplay points allowed

I know earlier in the season, this was something ridiculous like he was +3 goals when on the penalty kill.

Does anyone know how he is doing on this now?
i'm guessing about -5 to -10 for the season? Wondering if he is still high up in league leaders for this.

He’s now been on the ice for 12 PP goals against.

Flames should package Brodie and Janko for something, both would have good value but their stats are inflated as hell for what they bring on the Flames

Brodie and Janko for Kadri and Brown?

He's been on for 12 PP goals against, and on the ice for 11 SHG.

He has 5 SHG + 3 SHA, and on for 3 more he didn't have a point on (Hanifin in ARZ, Gio vs Philly, Lindholm in STL).

So a terrible -1 through 137+ minutes of shorthanded icetime!

Thread title = What's Jankowski like on the PK
You = Let's trade Jankowski and Brodie.

Sorry, he just doesn't pass the eye test for me, couldn't resist. He actually plays worse the bigger role he's been given. His best play all year has been on the 4th line playing vs other 4th lines.

Thanks! Do you know how this compares to the rest of the NHL? Like minimum 100 minutes or something.

No, sorry. That's beyond my research abilities.

I sure wish people quote Phagoof less so it doesn't render me putting him on ignore useless.

He's third in GF% in the league behind Atkinson (Jackets) and Richardson (AZ)

Atkinson is +1
Richdardson is 0

He leads the league in GF/60 (offensive side) with 4.74 (that's not him scoring, that's on the ice for 4.74 goals for per 60 minutes)

Jankowski is an elite penalty killer with untapped offensive upside. Treliving should sign him to a very affordable long term contract this summer because he could “pop” at some point soon. I was hoping we’d see some improvement in his game for his sophomore season and he certainly has met my expectations. The good thing is he also hasn’t relied on a gigantic 4 goal game to pad his stats.

It's also good to know that in the one game he has started with Gaudreau on his line that he has the ability to score 4 goals. Maybe they could try it again.

Sorry, but your revelation right now on Janko is that a 2nd year Center man is better when he plays a lesser role. Does this surprise you?

I'm not saying that he should be untouchable, he definitely can be a movable piece for the right return, but I think you are being hard on a 2nd year pro who's improving and plays the toughest position in the game. He's an asset to this team right now, and because of his future potential.

For some context as to how insane this is:
  • John Carlson leads the league in 5v5 on-ice scoring with 4.17 GF/60.
  • Two teams (Montreal and Nashville) score at a lower rate on the powerplay (4.21 GF/60 and 4.6 GF/60 respectively).
