Played one of my all time favorite characters as Luther Van Dam on Coach.

RIP funny man.

Jerry Van Dyke, the younger brother of fellow comedian and actor Dick Van Dyke, died Friday at his Arkansas ranch, his wife Shirley Ann Jones told CNN. He was 86.

One hilarious man, I actually got to see him live in Dallas once.

For some reason, the only thing I remember him in is “Palm Springs Weekend” a dark coming-of-age comedy from 1963, that keeps showing up once in a while on Turner Classic.

He’s was about 32 in 1963 and playing a manic college student in the movie.

Distinctive dude.
