Frustrating. Campbell had a good game. Would have been HUGE to get this win and put the division race to sleep basically, but...nope. The production of the first line is pretty concerning at this point. What a flip for them from the first half of the season. They HAVE to get it together going into the playoffs. As does the powerplay which has been brutal.

Sloppy game by Flames ... lots of shots, but weak passing means few that were dangerous. Also means a #### pp.

Smith didn't even try on the 3-0 goal. Pathetic!

Boo Smith! Score a goal and save ALL the shots you bum!

Well, that wasn't a fun way to make my shift go by quicker.

But here is a silly cat anyway.

Cool. One of those games where the a team long out of it goes on a little run for pride. Exact same thing happening in SJ right now. Just get over it and move on. Couple more weeks to waste until the meaningful hockey starts.

Frustrating. Really disappointed in our top line tonight. Worst game they’ve played in a long time. Might be time to shake it up a bit.

You just knew this would happen when Doughty said the Flames are easy to defend against.

What are you gonna do? These games happen. On any night a crappy team can play well and a good team can play crappy. Not that the Kings even played particularly great, they just really clogged up the lanes and Campbell was good. Flames didn’t play particularly awful either, just lacked some execution, especially on the PP and got zero bounces. Overall they’re still 8-2-0 in the last 10 and Smith looked good again. Take the positives and move on.

Are you Jack Campbell with that catch?

Monahan needs to sit and rest or figure it out. He’s killing our first line. Every play dies on his stick. It’s a lot easier to play D on Gaudreau when his trigger man get take a shot to save his life.

Campbell wasn’t even good.

He made one absolutely excellent save after it was 3-0 but Smith despite two ehhhh goals made more good saves than Campbell did

Flames had no answer to the Kings trap game. Next game is not going to be any easier.

Monahan looks like he is constantly playing with a broken stick or something. He is a lot better than whatever the hell this is

Sit the first line next game. Or swap their ice time with the fourth lines.

Going down 1-0 early was big.

Kings may not be good this season but they still know how to play a tight structured game. After that they pretty much trapped the rest of the way and kept the Flames to the outside.

Kings are 20-4-2 now when they score first. So even though they are bad, when they get a lead they know how to lock it down. Issue is they just don’t score a whole lot

Need the first line and the PP to get going because you need a PP to open things up on a night like tonight.
