This is where I stop voting I think. Guys left I either know nothing about at all or simply think will never come close to the NHL so dont know where to rank them among the other names left

I think Karnaukhov was one of the better prospects when he attended in development camp. Hope he will improve this year and get some games in KHL.

Not sure how Lomberg doesn't have more votes at this point, considering he played 7 NHL games already. While he might never amount to anything more than a fringe NHLer, that's still quite valuable at this stage in the rankings.

Which is why I don't understand how Lomberg doesn't get votes still. All the guys left have a very very low chance of playing a game in the NHL, and Lomberg already has played NHL games yet isn't getting votes.

I know it’s a reach, but this will be the year McDonald shows us why the Flames picked him so high in his draft year.

Demetrios Koumontzis is a bit of an unknown, but he did some great things in the high school division last season. He was the second guy picked by the Flames this season, but for some reason all of the other picks are off the board. Long shot perhaps, but a decent ceiling if he keeps developing the way he has. Plus, the Flames have had success with fourth rounders.

Lomberg doesn't have the skill set to play at the NHL level. I get he played some games and good on him. But I don't think there are many that project him as a full time NHL player. If your voting based on who is most likely to play the most games then it's a fair vote. But personally I am more interested in who could have the biggest impact.

The issue I have with Lomberg is the same issue I have with Hathaway. If either are playing meaningful minutes for a long duration than you are not a playoff team. When they talk about a player having a cup of coffee in the big leagues, he is the type of player I imagine.

He is all heart and you can not fault him on that. Players like him are a dime a dozen. Serviceable as stop gap players, but not a long term solution.

Lomberg's junior career was a lot more productive than most people probably realize. He's got some offensive talent. I don't think he's any more than a replacement forward at his peak but after him and Koumontzis are gone I would bet against anyone having a 100 game NHL career.

Maybe Pollock if he ever gets his head out of his ass

I'm just not in the camp of giving a vote to a guy because he's played 7 games. I saw the 7 games, and honestly I came away thinking that could very well be it.

I'd rather cast a vote towards a kid that has upside and is interesting than a player I'm pretty sure we may never see again.

What's ever happened to Pollock? I remember when we acquired him in the Jokipakka trade thinking he may be a decent piece.
