I also was initially stumped by the map (and later the trunk terminal) with Vah Ruta. I learned something pretty important doing that dungeon - abandon all Zelda dungeon tropes you may remember. I was looking everywhere for a switch to open the gate, but hey, the gate has an up arrow on it as a hint!
I was finally able to snag a switch from Amazon prime today. I got lucky and hit refresh at the right time this morning. Sold out in seconds apparently.

Damn, I have notifications set up bit didn't get anything. Not that I'd be able to get it in time anyways. What time do they refesh the stock?
If anybody is looking (I don't have any extra crazy preorders left) this website might be good for you. Set the alert, leave the webpage up and wait for the noise:

I didn't get notified either. I just randomly hit refresh and got lucky. It seems they refresh their stock randomly. I sat up 2 nights in a row waiting for 12am PST to roll around but didn't bother last night.
I was using this site to try and get some assistance with notification.
Just saw today that Old Time Hockey has been confirmed for the switch!
For anyone who doesn't know it's an indie game that focuses on the violent, old school aspects of hockey. It has a story mode as well as a "beer" control scheme so you can play with one hand.
Hopefully its fun. Now if EA would just take the plunge and put NHL on this system I would be so happy
EB games got some Switchs today. Delivery time varies by store but I just picked one up at Chinook
Now I'm on the hunt for a pro controller
Pretty nice store in Chinook, but I am not really into all that other stuff they sell. I just can't see how they stay in business, there is no incentive for me to shop there.
I am constantly online, why would I ever bother ordering in person when I just do it online?
Heh, was wondering around in the frozen tundra, and came across two blocks of ice (one small, one big). I knew from experience I could build a fire next to it and it would melt (had gotten a treasure chest from it).
So I did that. The first one melted and it was a dragonbone moblin club. Huh.
Waited for the second one... finally it did and there was a big moblin in it, it picked up its club and smacked me with it! Lol...
I used my wand to re-freeze him and left him like that.

You know you have played to much Zelda when you are biking to work in the dark, see a rabbit, and double check to make sure it isn't a glowy one before realizing, wait. No. this is real life.
Handheld vs docked. What's the preferred play method?
I'm supposed to be getting delivery today. Unfortunately I have to head up island for a hockey tournament so I won't see the package until Sunday evening. Would have been nice taking it with us.

I've played probably 90% handheld. I find the graphics look better and it's more convenient, and I like having the Joycons attached to something but find the grip thing a bit too small.
