Ughhh. Just a terrible way to lose a race (although Ferrari has a serious driver issue with Vettel IMO). F1 really needs to clean up the safety car / VSC rules. Another race lost, like the British GP, because of poor rules for safety car/VSC.
The pits need to be closed until the field is bunched and/or the safety car picks up the lead car. You shouldn't gain an advantage based on luck IMO. You can't pass under yellow flags but you can gain a huge advantage if the VSC goes green and you're entering a straight vs a chicane or if your at pit entrance as it gets called.
Back to Ferrari...that is what, 3 races now, where they should've won if it wasn't for reliability (Bahrain, Baku, Russia) and at least 2 where they lost cause of other issues (Canada & Vettel, Austria & Leclerc just running out of tires, too many too count because of poor strategy/execution)?? Could have been a really different season.

Soooo...this is where we may get a bit nit picky again on the rules since they weren't too clear to begin the season with.
RatherDashing, GWEbola, and Btimbit all missed this week. But for Btimbit its only his third miss (according to my list) but it moves him up to prize paying 3rd place (from the midfield, 24pts ahead of Fuzz, and 26pts behind 2nd) if we use his picks from last week. RatherDashing and GWE are in the midfield still, but have missed quite a few more than Btimbit and it was both their 2nd week in a row. So what I did was copy their picks forward from Singapore but left them unsorted relative to the standings for Overall and Russia.
Since we weren't clear...I'd propose that we carry forward Btimbits picks this week like I have all season...but not again for the last 5 races?? Gives fair warning for the last 4 races. Fuzz...you can have veto, lol.
IronMaiden had the picks of the week, by far (F U VSC, lol)...got the top 4 all correct and scored 77pts. Believe it or not thats the first correct top 4 this year.
3thirty extended his lead over Flamesrule in the Overall and kept his leave over Jayswin in the Most Correct.
Without picks for RD/GWE/Btimbit
Spoiler!

With carryover picks

I'm not bothered, but if you aren't going to participate in the picks before each race, why bother doing it? I understand if you are busy and can't be around for that week, but you can always pre-pick as well. Missing one or 2 happens, but if it becomes a pattern...
I think next season the best set up is to allow for one or two misses over the season because we all have lives and something may come up suddenly. But I agree with Fuzz, just make pre-picks at some point if you're not going to be around close to the race.
I mean, it's not like Golf where there's a completely different top 10 from tourney to tourney with hundreds of golfers. You may just have to suck it up and decide if you think it's going to be a Mercedes race or a Ferrari race, or maybe you've got a feeling about Verstappen etc.
But I say we throw in two "passes" per season for each poster due to the nature of life (especially summer) where we'll take last races picks. If you go beyond that you'll just lose the opportunity to pick up points that race.

Yeah sorry fellas. I don't get a lot of weekends off due to the nature of my industry.
Not to make excuses, I actually tried setting a Google reminder but didn't hear or notice it. I've synced the F1 schedule to my calender now though with a alarm that should go off automatically at the start of P2. No excuses going forward! Lol.
I agree with jayswin though, only 2 carryovers next year and none in the last 5 races of a season seems reasonable to me.
Race weekend! Love me some Suzuka. Some fantastic high speed corners.
Looks like a soggy weekend with typhoon Hagibis in the area. Good reminder to extend your PVR recording, as this one will probably go long.

Qualifying has been moved to Sunday to avoid the typhoon.
Means qualifying will take place at 7pm Saturday night our time. Not holding my breath tsn will show it. I’m not gonna complain because they finally picked up a quality ESPN college football game. LSU Florida on tsn 2. Doubt they’ll bump the ufc prelims and other than that they’d have to show F1 instead of cfl on one of their channels.

They have 5 channels. Surely they can spare one for F1.
My guide shows TSN 3 and 4 showing the exact same football game. Bump one of them. Why have 5 channels just to show the same thing? But it's Bell, and they suck.
I wish F1 would take the rights from them so I could just pay for F1 online. I have no other reason to have TSN. I have emailed TSN and Bell to that effect. TSN ignored me, F1 was quite receptive to my comments.
