Carter's is doing ok for himself, I'd say multi millionaire.

But you are right he honestly seemed like an actual good guy.

Some new claims came out this week about the Iran hostage crisis that Carter had to deal with. This was one of the events that made people think Carter was a weak president. Specifically, the claims are that people in Reagan's campaign purposely sabotaged the negotiations and offered Iran a side deal to not release the hostages until after the election.

It is difficult to say whether Carter successfully handling the hostage crisis would have changed the election, but we'll never really know.

Literally everything that's wrong with the world today can be traced directly to Reagan. It's like playing 6 degrees of dystopia.

Reagan wouldn't even make it past a primary these days.

I agree that Reagan was an issue but he was really just a Nixon knock-off with better posture. Most of the culture war BS pushed by Reagan was a continuation of things that Nixon had done or attempted.

On the other side of the ledger, Jimmy Carter is a great human being who was probably too gentle a soul for the job of US President. I doubt we ever see another major world leader like Carter.

Actually I believe the corpse of Reagan would do much better in a primary than the living version who could talk

Don’t put it past Republicans to elect a dead candidate. They’ve elected worse.
