Carter was interviewed by Robert Scheer of Playboy for the November 1976 issue, which hit the newsstands a couple of weeks before the election. While discussing his religion's view of pride, Carter said: "I've looked on a lot of women with lust. I've committed adultery in my heart many times."[84][85] This and his admission in another interview that he did not mind if people uttered the word "####" led to a media feeding frenzy and critics lamenting the erosion of boundary between politicians and their private intimate lives.[86]
Legendary stuff tbh.

"War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children."

I often think how people view his presidency isn't completely fair considering all the crises he had to deal with in such short period of time, and the fact the Democratic party at the time was extremely fractured.
Anyway, he is a great man and I hope his passing is as painless and peaceful as possible. You can't argue the positive effect his life has had in America and the world. His charitable work extends beyond just the U.S.
An interesting tidbit I read about him before is how when he was younger, like a lot of southerners, he was resistant to civil rights movements and used language that was inappropriate, but he later changed his views and become a champion for civil rights. When he was elected, 4 out of 5 black Americans apparently voted for him. Unfortunately, this made him despised by conservatives and white southerner who viewed him as a traitor.

Here is an interesting story about Carter coming to Canada in 1952 as part of a team to help repair the nuclear reactor in Chalk River and avoid a potential meltdown. At the time, he was one of the only people in the world qualified to do the work.
History has been unkind to Carter, while fascist ultra capitalist pigs like Regan are venorated. Carter was a wonderful man and judged unfairly as President. Hope his final days and hours are comfortable and he's at peace.

There's many Canadians who owe a lot to Jimmy Carter. He helped clean up the first Nuclear meltdown ever at Chalk River, Ontario in 1958. Jimmy Carter part starts at 4:50 of the video.

Maybe just the right amount of nuclear radiation actually extends your life. But if you get one too many roentgens, you end up like Toptunov and turn into jelly.
