LOL. So Darryl was asked about the players each getting their goal songs, which he's cool with and then asked what his would be, which he responded to with "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down. Reporter asked him why that song and he smiled and said, listen to it.

Lyrics:

Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
So I had one more for dessert

Then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt
And I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day

I'd smoked my brain the night before
On cigarettes and songs that I'd been pickin'
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Cussin' at a can that he was kicking

Then I crossed the empty street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone fryin' chicken
And it took me back to somethin'
That I'd lost somehow, somewhere along the way

On the Sunday morning sidewalk
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
Makes a body feel alone

There ain't nothin' short of dyin'
Half as lonesome as the sound
On the sleepin' city sidewalks
Sunday mornin' comin' down

In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughin' little girl who he was swingin'
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
Listened to the song they were singin'

Then I headed back for home
And somewhere far away a lonesome bell was ringin'
And it echoed through the canyons
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday

On the Sunday morning sidewalk
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
Makes a body feel alone

There ain't nothin' short of dyin'
Half as lonesome as the sound
On the sleepin' city sidewalks
Sunday mornin' comin' down

On the Sunday morning sidewalk
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
Makes your body feel alone

There ain't nothin' short of dyin'
Half as lonesome as the sound
On the sleepin' city sidewalks
Sunday mornin' comin' down

Just a heads up my Optik box says the game is on SN360, its shows MLB on SN1.

Should be a good game, the Sabres are definitely an up and coming team not to be taken lightly.

Flames win 3-1. Kadri, Zadorov, and Lucic.

one game, that they dominated and still got a point

Overall the Flames have done very well against bottom feeders under Sutter...not sure if the Sabres are still bottom feeders but they likely aren't a playoff team

Okay potentially formidable. Samuelsson and Lyubushkin are also bigger bodies too. So they are finally starting to develop a bit of a team identity. They played the Flames tough last year in Calgary and I expect they'll be the same tonight.

Scoring chances could be tough to come by tonight for both teams.

Looks like it's Eric Comrie in net for Buffalo again tonight.

Lyubushkin likely sitting, Casey Fitzgerald will draw in if he's out.

I just hope the Flames don't have a dominant 90 second shift early on and get lulled to sleep...

Oh wait, we have an actual NHL coach who would kick the #### out of the entire bench if they had the Leafs mentality for even a second.

This has all the hallmarks of a game that previous versions of this team would find a way to lose 3-2. I think these guys are made of different stuff, and will win the games they should.

4-1 Flames.

Also not sure stats from last year apply to this year given the turn over in the upper portion of the roster.

Showing up on time is more about coaching and team make up than any 2 or 3 players

Darryl has coached 1400 regular season games (tied with Pat Quinn for 10th all-time) and won 702 games (also in 10th spot)
He will tie Ron Wilson tonight in games coached (1401) and will catch Dick Irvin (1448) later this year to be in 8th spot
He is 20 wins behind Alain Vigneault. That will get him to 9th spot, assuming the active coach ahead of him, Laviolette maintain some margin (currently with 718 wins)

I agree generally. When two of those players were offensive drivers for the team last year, I think that my point stands that results from last year are probably not that helpful.
