With the huge facelift on the team ushering the new Huberdeau/Kadri era and the vintage jerseys in, does anybody else feel like this is time for a new goal song? It's been 4-5 years since TNT.
I love AC/DC as much as anyone and I still randomly play Thunderstruck whenever I'm handed a stringed instrument but I feel like TNT is a bit played out and it's very much something that went with the Gaudreau, Tkachuk, and Monahan era. I'm also a little tired of hearing it along with the yahooooooooo.
I noticed that the Kraken a rocking a cool remix of Nirvana's lithium and I think it would be refreshing for this era to have it's own new theme. I know music is extremely subjective so I'm hesitant to suggest anything. Based on theme alone, I would have said Through the Fire and Flames but the only snippet that would work is the end of each chorus:
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames, we carry on
CRAZY GUITAR SOLO
...
Screw it. Vintage jerseys so we can't touch a Flame when it's red hot!
I am not a huge AC/DC fan, as in I don't own any of their records, and they aren't on my rotation. I don't hate them, just never really got into them.
I do think TNT works well as a goal song though. There are certainly worse options out there. Last season, I was looking through my collection and didn't really find anything that I would say is better as a goal song while also being universally recognizable. I was also surprised a little while ago when I saw an article about songs athletes like to listen to to get pumped up, and there was a lot of AC/DC on it. I guess they are still pretty relevant. There were 2 or 3 Washington players that use AC/DC as their personal goal songs. I also think with the JG-Monny-Tkachuk era over, it is probably time for a change. I kind of associate that goal song with them.
I like Gallick's suggestion above. Someone with connections, please send that to whomever makes it happen. And yes, I think "Yahooooo" should probably be retired too.

I personally don't associate TNT with the "Gaudreau/Monahan/Tkachuk era". They have their own individual goal songs, as will Huberdeau/Kadri/Weegar I'm sure. Besides, if Navras can live on in the playoffs since 2004, I think TNT can stick around as well.

It's better than Hall and Oates, that's for sure.
It's only confusing to me because I think it's a good Tyler Toffoli goal song (T&T).
Ok their first The Police-inspired "Standin' in the Dark" album from '83 is actually my favorite of all time but their late 80s dance songs are going to put us firmly into mullet territory.
I strongly dislike AC/DC but “shot down in Flames” was the best goal song so far… I hope it’s not TNT again, we need a fresh song for a fresh start…. Or shot down in flames…
