My guess without watching them is that they have completely bought into playing a team game or playing the right way. Something McLellan could not convince the egos in Edmonton to do. It helps having vets that know what it takes to win.

At what point do you think about picking up the phone, calling the Avs brass and telling them enjoy the 2 points, we're not putting our players at risk.

Our record so far after last night's loss to the Caps.
Oiler (Mon): 3-1 W
Caps (Tue): 5-4 L
TB (Thu): ?
Det (Sat): ?
@Col (Sun): ?
Reminder of predicitons on other CPers think might be a good outcome for this stretch:
2-2-1
2-3
6 points
Currently, we're at 1-1 with 2 points.

I actually don't mind the loss last night.
Playoffs will be all about managing adversity, such as giving up a third period lead or a tough OT loss.
Games like last night will help with the required re-focus.

Our record so far after tonight's shutout win over Detroit.
Oiler (Mon): 3-1 W
Caps (Tue): 5-4 L
TB (Thu): 4-1 W
Det (Sat): 3-0 W
@Col (Sun): ?
Reminder of predicitons from other CPers might consider a good outcome for this stretch:
2-2-1
2-3
6 points
Currently, we're at 3-1 with 6 of 8 points. The team has had a strong showing through this hell week stretch.
Let's hope the team closes it out with a W in Colorado on Sunday.

As my OP summary, just a fantastic week.
The better team in each game this week. Dominant vs Oilers, fluke bounce off ref preventing the shutout. A bit unlucky vs the Caps not to get a point vs Caps. Dominant vs Tampa. More dominant vs Wings. Tonight vs Avs, Flames were right with a rested Avs team.3rd period Flames were dominant when they should’ve been tired. 21 shots in 3rd!
Flames are beyond legit, I don’t see the Flames losing 4 in 7 against the Avs, given equal levels of rest.
The biggest thing for me was injuries, and it appear outside of a minor Kylington knock, the Flames have come out unscathed.
This is going to be a great spring. Sutter has these guys absolutely flying and outworking every single team.
