Sees like when Batts is rolling Misa slows down. Then when Misa heats up Batts slows down.

Misa slows down when he gets punted down the lineup for no reason. And so does the entire team.

It blows my mind that Scott Wheeler had Mews so low on our prospects ranking. Pretty sure he was ranked 15th. How a guy tied for D scoring in his D+1 year isn’t higher makes no sense.

Thanks, as always, for the updates Sandman.
I am curious if you've got any thoughts on Mews +/-. I know it's a stat you have to be careful with but with such a high point total, the negative number pops out to me. Is that an indication of some attributes of his defensive game, more reflective of the team he played on, a combination of both, etc.?

Thanks for asking. Mews is considered to be a two-way player, but while the defensive part of his game is good, there’s still room to grow in that area. Given that he converted to D from forward not long before joining the 67’s, there’s some development needed, as well as improvements required to his consistency in his own zone. He’s not mistake-free either.
That said, I think at least some of his +/- can be attributed to playing on a weak Ottawa 67’s team, although he’s -3 since joining the Wolves, who are inexplicably struggling since his arrival, and have dropped a spot or two in the standings….

Parekh with 1G, 3A in a 5-4 win. Has 23g, 42a, 65p in 41 games now.
He's quickly catching up to Dickenson's production:
Parekh PPG: 1.59
Dickenson PPG: 1.66

Man, where is Parekh gonna play next season? Hopefully he has what it takes to make the show. I don't see what good another year of junior will do for him.

I think he's too young as he doesn't turn 20 until February 2026. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Junior does nothing for him. Unless he bombs this summer/training camp he's at least starting with the Flames.

Feb.1st:
Battaglia gets no points, and was -1 in a 7-4 victory over Flint. He is tied for 9th in OHL scoring, with 46gp/29g/38a/67pts,+5, 22 PIM.
Parekh earns first star honors with 1g, 3a, and +3 in a 5-4 win over Kitchener. He is tied for 12th-overall in scoring, 14th in plus/minus, and 1st in scoring by D, with 41gp/23g/42a/65pts,+25, 61 PIM, with an incredible 24 points in his last 10 games. Colorado 7th-rounder RW Christian Humphreys has joined the Kitchener Rangers after putting up only 1 point in 10 games at the U of Michigan, and now has 11 points in 11 OHL games. San Jose second-rounder Igor Chernyshov scored another 2 points in his second game with the Spirit after coming over from Russia, and now has 3 goals and 4 points in 2 games.
No points again for Morin, and a +1 in a 3-0 victory over Cape Breton. He is tied for 14th-overall in plus/minus, and is 4th in scoring by D, with 44gp/10g/31a/41pts,+24, 24 PIM, after posting 7 points in his last 11 games.
Gridin nets 3a, and was +2 in a 6-4 win over Victoriaville. He is 9th in Q scoring, and tied for 12th in plus/minus, with 44gp/25g/33a/58pts,+25, 25 PIM.
Spokane whoops Everett (which should never happen), 10-3, largely on the strength of Andrew Cristall's 6-point night. Incredibly he is SECOND in WHL scoring, with 85 points in 37 games. McKenna is first in scoring, with 88 points in 42 games. Jamieson gets no points tonight, and was -4. He is 13th-overall in plus/minus, with 49gp/8g/19a/27pts,+30, 44 PIM.
Lipinski gets 2a, and was +1 (12/21 in faceoffs) in a 9-2 win over Kamloops. 39gp/8g/31a/39pts,even, 28 PIM.
