*Sigh* This is gonna cost me a man card... but check out Gilmore Girls.
Her performance was regularly the opposite of the brazen/loud act she's found hollywood success with. Her comedic bits were much more reserved, but still funny as hell, just with the volume and intensity turned down.
Now if you'll excuse me I've must go shopping for a new purse.

This would be a great/better cast.
Can't say I'm a McCarthy fan either. I like Wiig and I'm surprised Maya Rudolph isn't involved. Although, while I liked her on SNL, she wasn't the best part of Bridesmaids.

The best part of Bridesmaids was the credits.

I fear McCarthy is going to steal the movie for the wrong reasons. I think she can be fantastic as a bit character comedic role in a movie but I find she gets grating in a lead or supporting role. Wiig is fantastic but I don't think she will be enough to salvage what looks to have a high probability of being awful.
Four women sounds insanely gimmicky. Can't they just decide on 4 funny comedians that will suit the roles they were written for? Regardless if they're a man or woman? I'd go with that.
None of those women hold a light to comedians like Amy Poehler or Tina Fay. I hope they were at least offered a role and decided to turn it down for some reason.
I don't really like the casting choices, but I don't have a problem with it being four women. Even if it's gimmicky, who cares? This movie was never going to be cast on merit.

Can't say I am a fan on first blush, but better than having a "young/hot" team to get the younger demographic.
I think the casting could be slightly adjusted. Maybe having a serious actor to play the straight (wo)man. Four sketch comedians could turn in into a SNL movie.
This sounds like it will be another steaming pile of dung with the added bonus that anyone who is critical will be accused of being sexist, deflecting from the actual quality of the movie. Please knock it out of the park and prove me wrong.

So what do you know about the movie, outside of it featuring 4 female leads and the original being really good, that leads you to believe it will suck?
Watching it and hating will be all well and good. Writing it off as crappy before even knowing anything about it other than the leads are ladies is pretty much the definition of sexist.

1. Do you really think they can remake Ghostbusters and come out better than the original? Just a gut feel right now, and I'd feel pretty much the same way regardless of the cast.
2. Thanks for proving my point that any critisism would be seen as sexist when at no time did I critique the movie's potential based on the gender of it's cast.
