Way too many comedies use their funniest bits in the trailer so maybe for once they wanted to save the funny parts for film viewing? Makes the trailer look pretty bad but as long as the reviews are good people will go.
Deadpool got across to me long before I saw it in the theater that this was a labor of love and when you get a project where someone is so involved and invested like that it always turns out great. Put anyone else in that suit in a re make and it flops.
This is exactly what we will see with the Ghostbusters franchise. Original was a labor of love written by and for the people involved, the re make is trying to jam square pegs into round holes.

I'm sure this film will do fine at the box office. I am not a fan of Bridesmaids, the Heat, and Spy but they were all very successful films.
To conclude, fans of the original will likely hate it while those who have never seen the original but are fans of Paul Feig films will likely love it.
A little better but still pretty bad. It's not the all-female cast that is the problem, its these specific actresses look like they are going to be really irritating to watch. There are female comedians out there that can do amazing comedy and yet not be grating (Tina Fey). I really wish they had gone in that sort of direction. The cliches and racial stereotyping just makes this worse.
Heh, you mentioned a stage diving scene and my first though was, 'I wonder if they did the gimmick where somebody jumps into the crowd and nobody catches them?'

How many more stereotypes can you perpetuate?
"How many have you got?"

And then she complains about both sexism and racism as the punchline.
In reality, nobody wanted to get crushed by the weight of a big woman carrying an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on her back.
That would have been awesome. It neatly ties the previous movies together and gives us a believable world on what has happened since. I can even picture the comedy gold that can come from this pitch.
In a nutshell, sony is deleting normal and constructive negative comments, and leaving sexist comments up to help give the impression that people who hate the movie are sexist.
