Hard to see Canada losing by less than two goals tonight. I don't see much reason to be hopeful, Mexico are a far better team. I'll be cheering Canada on and hoping we can keep the scoreline respectable.

Canada look second best but not completely outmatched as we usually do. Could have nicked one when Osorio got by his man at the touch line if we didn't have our 5th string striker.

That’s definitely a penalty, awful challenge by Henry. Shame as it was pretty much a perfect half prior to that

That ball was definitely played too far ahead by the Mexican to ever reach it. But a reckless challenge. That’s a penalty in my books, as much as I hate to say it.

It sure seemed like there was a throat grab by one of the Mexican players in that scuffle after the fact…

Canada needs to settle down in the locker room. Played a great half. A brain dead moment doesn’t take away from that. Need to be better in the final third. It’s a shame it’s not Davies making the runs into the box instead of Laryea or David/Larin receiving the passes in the box instead of Osorio or Akindele but I still think they can do it

Not a good sign for Canada heading into World Cup qualifying in the fall. They just can't compete against teams like Mexico. The only question now is how many goals Mexico will score in the second half as Canada are forced to commit players forward in attack to chase the game.

I think this was totally the wrong approach. Canada aren't good enough to take a team like Mexico on like this. Yeah, it is good to watch, but they should be playing ten men behind the ball at all times so that fast break goals just aren't allowed to develop.

A little glum mate. Mexico and the US are a step above Canada at this point. The hope would be to steal a point from them at the home games

Why should they play 10 men's behind the ball. Herdman needs to see what he has and play properly. The goal is not really to win this tournament.
