I've just always viewed a good tandem as a 1A/1B situation closer to how it feels right now with Rittich/Talbot.

I also think McLennan doesn't get enough credit for 2004, especially as he was traded. I even know for a fact that the Flames were ready to give him a Cup ring had we won!

I think moving Ryan is a waste of his abilities as a C even if it’s to the top line. I’d move Dube and put Backlund on the third line with Ryan, because all players seem to do well with Ryan (which was what used to happen with Backlund).
