As mentioned previously I picked up a bunch of Pixel 6 phones for Christmas. I'm on the Telus network and I noticed that my 5G signal is usually around 50% on the indicator. Is this normal?

Aperantly yes. Supposedly can be fixed by installing the beta version of carrier services. Or you can wait for Google to issue a fix that actually works.

I have an Android tablet that has been underperforming since it was new.

Lennovo Tab 3 I think... Model No TB3-850F

Slow / no response from the touchscreen at times.

Factory resets and updates have done nothing so now I want to try and Root it to see if I can improve the performance.

Where can I find a good how to on the web. At this point I don't care if I brick it cuz its useless to me anyway...

Thanks.

Try XDA developers. Look up your model number. You kinda have to root around a bit for tutorials though.

Well it helps that the original is still more powerful than any other non-Shield streaming device

Got my S22 Ultra today and good lord is the S Pen ten times better than it was, and it was already excellent considering its form factor. So happy to be done with my temporary iPhone experience. This thing is great.

Good. Hopefully that spares other people the pain of owning that POS.

Just sold mine last week. Terrible reception. Bugs galore. I often had robot voice. Calls dropped constantly. Worst phone ever.

I bought a Galaxy S22 to replace it and it has been flawless so far.

I'm biased but the Samsung S22 Ultra has great cameras. The Pixel 6 Pro has amazing cameras too, but as Silver pointed out people are having serious problems with them.

Things have changed. I've been happy with my 6 since day one in February.

Pixel 6 is still terrible. As this article mentions, if you work from home probably nbd. If you're out and about and rely on connectivity there isn't a worse phone you could buy.

Haven't had a single issue while working within Calgary city limits.

Same thing for when I was in Toronto recently.

same here, have taken the P6 Pro across Alberta, outside Alberta, and outside North America and not once has the connectivity failed (aside from places where there's zero service anyways).

I don't doubt there's a certain batch of these are just flat out lemons, probably in the early runs. I was slow on the draw on release day and didn't get it until end of December, maybe that just turned out to be lucky.

S22 ultra's zoom puts it in a class by itself.
Otherwise, OnePlus 10 pro camera comes pretty close to Samsung, according to stuff I have read/seen.

Why risk it, though? There are still current articles and discussions talking about how god-fataing awful the Pixel 6 is. Mine was terrible. My mom's is terrible. Two of my friends have it and theirs are great. I wouldn't recommend it or not based on just my experience, but my experience coupled with actual data saying too many Pixel 6s are totally useless should be enough to sway somebody to look at other options.

Depends. If you want 100x zoom it is the Samsung. If you want the best pictures it is the Pixel. The Samsung does not capture quite as much detail and tends to over saturate pictures. Simply do a S22 Ultra vs Pixel 6 Pro camera comparison and there are lots of examples out there.
